Hi there
Really wished we'd had organised a third day in Florence. Our hotel was just around the corner from Lorenzo the outside market and then discovered on our 2nd day -an amazing indoor food market there too! Fish of all varieties, vegetables, fruit, breads and huge meat cuts I.e. massive slab of T-bones. Umm, a week would have been wonderful to eat our way through the stalls!
We had left it to late to pre-book tickets for museums online. So when we arrived the hotel chap jumped on the phone and got us tickets that day for the Academy to see David and then the next morning to the Uffizi gallery. We certainly walked the kms in Florrence. Saw the famous bridge with all the Jewellery shops, walked the 414 steps up the Bell Tower -including the bells ringing when were at the top! Walked along to Stana Croc where we visited the school of leather -walk out with a couple of jackets. Never had any intention of ever getting one for myself.
Venice weather is wet and windy. Still managed to walk all around the maze of Venice - got lost on a number of occasions!
Ahoy there.......
Sunday: weather is beautiful and hot. Boarded the cruise ship this morning and enjoying Venice from a distance we take off at 5pm. So got orientated around the boat.
Will post some photos before we lose internet access. Everything costs on board!
Deb
