Home Now...Hong Kong quick visit before catching the homeward flight

We arrived feeling pretty good after the Paris to HK leg. Not really due to the comfort of the plane or sleep, just seemed ok once the sun was about. So got off the 'plane and bought a return ticket on the HK MRT to the Airport. Got to HK Island (We only went to Kowloon on the way over due to rain etc) about 0930 and once we got over the heat and humidity, got to the Cable car, up to the Peak. Interesting that a tour group of mostly older North Americans (not much, IMHO, separates Canadian and USA tourist behaviours) and there was a bit of jostling for spots on the tram, which we weren't really up for after the flight etc. Ironically, as it urned out, there wasn't much to see on the ride up, that you couldn't see better from the top.  Didn't stop the tour-party hogging the windows and being generally rude, "herd" behaviour, I'd call it (once you're not on the Cruise Ship yourself, of course :-).  So, by the time (<5m) we with some other shell shocked Kiwis, took a photo of the tram leaving and went up the escalator, our friends had finished photos and were already shopping in the "mall". Admittedly it was very warm and the malls are A/C. So Kiwi got almost his last photo, then we got the bus (exact change please...) to the Ferry terminal, an wander off to find a pleasant dumpling lunch (Shrimp mmmm) in rest. in mall above the MRT (Metro) station cause it was too hot to go anywhere else and we were running short on time by then. (we didn't need it food wise, but on the way out to Rome, we had great dumplings in Kowloon, so I was keen to try more).  Ironically the same restaurant chain was in the Airport, which as Airports go, is pretty nice all around well laid out and the MRT is great for short time visits, as far as we were concerned.  Tallest tower middle at back,  is on top of the MRT station, suspect this is not unusual for HK visibility wise.

Home now so going thru the photos etc....will mean the next posts are out of order?
